Practical Action Publishing
Practical Action Publishing, the publishing arm of Practical Action, helps to build the skills and capabilities of development practitioners in developing countries through the dissemination of information in a variety of ways including books and journals.
Oxfam
Oxfam GB publishes a range of books, journals, reports, training resources, videos, and policy papers. Through its publishing, Oxfam sets out to communicate its policy research, advocacy messages, and programme experience, and to be an active contributor to current debates in development.
The Sphere Project
The Sphere Project is a programme of the Steering Committee for Humanitarian Response (SCHR) and InterAction with VOICE, ICRC and ICVA. The project was launched in 1997 to develop a set of universal minimum standards in core areas of humanitarian assistance. The aim of the project is to improve the quality of assistance provided to people affected by disasters, and to enhance the accountability of the humanitarian system in disaster response. In support of their activities, Sphere Project produces several operational guides and training materials in a variety of languages including English, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic.
